Weekend Margin Adjustment for Holding Positions Over the Weekend
Dear Valued Client,
Due to a notification from our primary liquidity provider, the following risk parameter adjustments will be applied to the GOLD (XAU) and SILVER (XAG) trading products:
Weekend Over-the-Weekend Margin Adjustment:
- For GOLD (XAU), the weekend over-the-weekend margin requirement will be adjusted from the current 1:200 (0.5%) to 1:50 (2%);
- For SILVER (XAG), the weekend over-the-weekend margin requirement will be adjusted from the current 1:50 (2%) to 1:25 (4%).
This adjustment will take effect three hours before the close of each weekend trading session (at 3:00 AM Hong Kong time) and will be restored to the original levels on Monday, depending on market conditions.
Please immediately review your open positions and ensure that your account maintains sufficient margin to avoid triggering forced liquidation (stop-out). If the margin level becomes insufficient, the system will automatically handle the relevant positions in accordance with our risk control rules.
The above adjustments will take effect immediately from February 6, 2026.
Please pay special attention to the following:
- The updated trading rules will apply from the effective date to all newly opened positions as well as existing open positions;
- Clients should proactively review their open positions and ensure that the account maintains adequate margin levels at all times to prevent forced liquidation due to the new margin requirements;
- Positions held over weekends or public holidays will be subject to holiday/weekend enhanced margin requirements — please make advance arrangements for sufficient funding;
- If the account margin level is insufficient, the system will process positions in accordance with established risk management rules (including but not limited to partial or full forced liquidation).
